Abstract

Successful management of endodontic problems is reliant on diagnostic imaging techniques to provide
critical information about the teeth under investigation. CBCT is of great help in diagnosing conditions
and diseases related to pulp and periapical tissue. It is also useful in detecting missed canal, extra canals,
bizarre root form, extra roots, and diverse other anatomical variations. This review article emphasizes on
the working of CBCT and its applications in endodontics.

Keywords: CBCT in endodontics, 3D imaging, TACT, Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
